Even before carrying out routine activities on the internet, one needs to be very careful as it has been becoming a place so risky with each passing day.

An activity that most of the users perform is downloading screensavers and wallpapers of smashing Bollywood stars.

McAfee has conducted a study according to which cyber criminals make websites based on search terms that are most popular. They also offer free download of content that has malicious code attached to it. This code is saved in our system and destructs our stored data gradually.

One of the most searched terms on the internet these days is Katrina Kaif.

Jeff Green, the McAfee vice-president says: “Like sharks smelling blood in the water, hackers will create related websites laden with adware and malware whenever a particular top increases in popularity. Unsuspecting consumers are then tricked into downloading malicious software that leads them to blindly hand over their personal assets to cyber criminals.”
