This was launched an year ago, and its completely useless, as laptops manufactured after 2005 don’t have PCMCIA slots.

Yes Ptcl is launching the service not the technology every one knows PCMCIA slots are not available in new systems but still few of us are using, on other hand they introduce USB stick that would be 3G so its cheaper then any other service as compared to other and the best thing is that its unlimited so, we are hoping that the dsl prices will also decrease after this step by PTCL.
Now here comes once again ptcl with looting package, I think governement should kick them as they are looting people and bluffing about their products. first they introduced Vptcl that was a reall shit now they come up with this usb internet. all of these ptcl products are so expersive that hardly anyone could afford it. 2000 rupees per month. I think the money ptcl earn from people who are intrusted in that internet usb would be used to pay electriccity bills of ptcl employees. Stupid company

Well both of sikobaba and Aimen are very disappointed by the service of Ptcl according to me its cheap more then any other Internet service provider in Pakistan, check bandwidth limits. i never had any complain against ptcl although my dsl gets down so many times but still im happy using Ptcl.
I purchased PTCL USB device named eVo at the cost of 6000 + 2000 monthly subscription. Since purchasing I am facing signal problem. I have made complaints on phone as well as on net but still no response have been received. I think PTCL is not a good company and have no care of customers.
Listen Folks….if you want to use such service for just browsing or downloading crap than it is real expensive….but if you want to have it for a purpose, you should think again. Most of us are using internet just for fun and getting nothing out of it and wasting time on chatting or on similar things. I do a online business and for me it is something I can even pay more than 2000.
my EVO device is not connected in 24 hours and it was said that it will start working before 24 hours ALLAH APP KA(PTCL) BHALLA KAREE KYUU MERE PECHEE PER GAYEE HOUU KER DOU ACTIVATE.

Yes you can share internet using PTCL evo, all you need to have lan card, and you have to share you ptcl evo connection, after sharing it will auto adjust your lan ip address, if you need to connect single pc to pc then try cross cable for that if more then single pc then you will use straight cable for sharing.
I have check wateen price they are charging 2500/Rs for the usb device and 1500/- monthly 1mb unlimited broadband. The result is not that bad.

Hi all i have been using this Evo PTCL usb and in lahore its downloading was 100 to 240kbs outdoors when signal was more than 60% but indoors it was 30 to 90kbs signal was 40% so its not a good connection at all and ptcl say it will work all over pakistan well i have tested it in Peshawar and it doesnt work at all here no signal at all and the costomer service people dont respond at all and never call back when they say they will. They are making Foooooooools out of the Pakistani public. Not giving the speed they claim to be giving and charging more than wateen etc. Costumer Service is Crappppppp!!!!!!!! So think before you buy it.
Ptcl service really sucks. If some one get any prob regarding phone line or dsl, they took so much time to solve it more then week, and their charges are so high for every service.
Ptcl broad band is really good, but never try its wireless device.
