Peaceful strike today against Karachi bombings

KARAHCI: Many Shiite organizations have called upon staging a peaceful strike all across Sindh today (Saturday) in protest against Karachi bombing which claimed lives of 25 innocent persons and leaving 100 others, Geo news reported.

Also, City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has announced closure of schools today while Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) will keep transport on halt.

This announcement was surfaced amid a press conference held here at Allama Abbas Kumaili House attended by many Shiite organizations.

They called upon people for staging a peaceful strike today, giving government of 48-hour ultimatum for arrest of terrorists who plotted bomb attacks besides release of Shiite activists and workers.

It may be mentioned that supporting the call of strike, the University of Karachi (KU) has also made public the cancellation of all scheduled papers due to be held on Saturday, 6 February.
