ISLAMABAD: Government on Saturday issued eligibility letter for getting the 4th tranche from International Monetary Fund. The letter will be reviewed on December 23 in Board of Director (BoD)’s meeting in Washington.
According to sources in Foreign Ministry, the government has sent first quarterly report of current fiscal year to IMF while third review report on Pakistan’s economy is also sent under the Stand-by Arrangement (SBA).
It is expected that IMF will approve its fourth tranche of $1.2 billion for Pakistan in BoD meeting on December 23 in Washington.
Earlier, the IMF approved $11.20 billion aid package for Pakistan while the country has received $5.32 billion in three installments. Moreover, this figure will increase to $6.52 billion after getting the fourth tranche.
