SWAT: The operation against militants underway in Malakand Division as one militant was killed and four injured during national lashkar action in Upper Dir. Two hideouts were also destroyed.

According to Swat media center, curfew will be relaxed till 5:00 pm in Shangla, Khawazakhela and Madeen areas of Malakand whereas Dir media center announced curfew break till 8:00 pm in tehsil Adenzai and Maidan of Lower Dir.

Meanwhile, national lashkar targeted militants’ strongholds in Ghazigai area of Upper Dir killing one militants and injuring four others. Two hideouts of militants were also destroyed.

Security forces shelled militants’ hideouts in Panahkot and Akhund Kalay, Kot Lai in tehsil Kabal and Shamozai in tehsil Bari Kot . However, no loss of life was reported in the action.

On the other hand, restoration work of telephone lines and electricity is underway in the affected areas.
